• Translation Process

  Translation process mainly consists of three stages.
  
  1. Analysis of the source text
  2. Translation into the target language
  3. Creation of the target text
  
  These stages should not be considered as independent successive sections, but as abstractions that ease the comprehension of the process. Because, these are interlaced in the actual translation process. While doing analysis, usually the translator thinks how to translate this and how to create the target text.

  Translation goes through the following processes before reaching to its recipient:

  Translation: It is performed by the translator. The target language is the native language of the translator. The subject of the text is within the area expertise of the translator.
  
  Preliminary Reading:It is performed by the translator. It includes eye reading and automatic spell-check.
  
  Correction: Based on the project budget, it may be carried out by the translator or it is made by an expert Editor expert on both the source and target languages.
  
  Editing:It is performed by an expert Editor who does not know the source language, but an expert on the target language. In editing, the translation test is first read separate from the source text and then it is read comparatively.
  
  Proofreading:It is a process named as proofreading or wrongly as “check –reading”.

Simultaneous Translation

In the Simultaneous translation, the translator is found in a translation cabin having a microphone and head set in it. He/she hears the speaker through the ear set and translates into the target language simultaneously; the translation is transmitted to the listener through the microphone.
